A lifelong love affair between a man, a groove, and the universe.
The story starts at age four on piano — and truly ignited at fifteen when a high school biology classmate heard Scott's pen tapping and told him it sounded good. His parents, recognizing something real, set him up with a kit. He was self-taught for a decade — all creative energy and passion, chasing breakthroughs, following the joy.
At 24, Scott moved to New York City and got serious. He dove into private lessons with some of the most celebrated educators and players in the world — a commitment to growth he has sustained for over twenty years.
The result is a drummer of rare stylistic range, equally at home in jazz, funk, rock, hip-hop, world music, fusion, and progressive rock. At the center of it all is a deep commitment to improvisation and spontaneous creation — listening deeply, responding truthfully, serving the groove. Scott follows his loving relationship with music and the universe from small bars to large stages and beyond.
